GOODBYE LEONARD COHEN.

Just three weeks after the release of his 14th album You Want It Darker, the great Canadian poet and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen suddenly passed away. He was 82. Since the 50's Cohen published a great deal of poetry books and novels. It was only in 1967 that he launched a music career at age 33. Among his most famous and most covered songs are Bird on the Wire, Suzanne, Famous Blue Raincoat, Chelsea Hotel #2, and Hallelujah. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was a Companion of the Order of Canada, the nation's highest civilian honor. In 2011, Cohen received one of the Prince of Asturias Awards for literature and the ninth Glenn Gould Prize.
