The exhibition, aptly named "Mia Martini. L'ultima occasione per vivere (Last chance to live)", showcases images that have never been exhibited before, but have been featured in many cases on Mia's most important album covers. On Sat. BARRY FEINSTEIN'S HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPHS AT WALL OF SOUND GALLERY.
Wall Of Sound Gallery is glad to present for the very first time in Italy fine art editions by Barry Feinstein. Photograher, cameraman and art director, Feinstein created many of the entertainment industry's most compelling and memorable images. Most famous for his album cover artwork, he is responsible for over 500 cover shoots including such classics as All Things Must Pass and The Concert for Bangla Desh by George Harrison, Eric Clapton's first solo record, Mr Tambourine Man by The Byrds, Pearl by Janis Joplin and many others. However his name is forever connected with Bob Dylan: Feinstein shot the album covers for Dylan's seminal The Times They Are a-Changin' and Before The Flood, besides being the exclusive photographer for his historic 1966 European tour. You can't afford to miss his two books Real Moments and Early Dylan (with Jim Marshall and Daniel Kramer). We'll soon keep you posted on the exhibition of Feinstein's works we plan after the summer.
THE 70's AND 80's PHOTOGRAPHED BY CARLO MASSARINI.
Wall Of Sound Gallery is glad to present for the very first time signed and numbered fine art editions by Carlo Massarini, culled from his book "Dear Mister Fantasy". Carlo's name has become hugely popular with the large public over four decades, starting with such radio programs as "Per voi giovani", "Popoff" and "Radio2 21.29". He was the first to turn on the Italian public to the music of such artists as Bob Marley, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and Tom Waits, often translating their lyrics in Italian. Having also collaborated as journalist and photographer with magazines like "Popster" and the first Italian edition of "Rolling Stone", since the 80's Carlo has successfully established himself as a tv personality. He's been conductor and author for programs like "Mister Fantasy", "Non necessariamente", "Tam Tam Village", "Cool Tour" and "Ghiaccio bollente".
GOODBYE CESARE MONTI, THE EYE OF ITALIAN MUSIC.
We're deeply saddened to announce the passing of Cesare Monti, unparalleled image maker for many Italian music artists and not only. Cesare, who we all dearly loved (especially Guido Harari who started out as a photographer in its wake), really marked an era with his numerous record covers for such artists as Fabrizio De André, Lucio Battisti, Angelo Branduardi, Pino Daniele, Edoardo Bennato, PFM, Banco and many more. Our sincere condolences to his wife Vanda Spinello, their daughter Alice and his brother Pietruccio.
