A PHOTOGRAPHER AND HIS GALLERY. A NEW CALL TO ARTS

Guido Harari did meet and photograph the greatest music legends, including Fabrizio De André, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Vasco Rossi and Frank Zappa. Lou Reed said about him:

“I’m always happy when Guido takes my picture because I know it will be a musical picture. And it will also have some poetry and feeling to it. The things that Guido captures with his portraits, including mine and certainly Laurie’s, are generally speaking ignored by other photographers, for whatever reasons. Also, that kind of photos are usually taken by a friend, not somebody you don’t know. I consider Guido a friend, not a photographer, and that’s why certain pictures can be taken.”

Guido Harari and Cristina Pelissero launched Wall Of Sound Gallery in 2011, in Alba, filling a void in the Italian photo collecting market, particularly a music-related one. With this one of a kind time capsule where the collective consciousness can reconnect with the visuals of music culture, they created an ideal place for photography enthusiasts, collectors, music lovers and newcomers to the field. Here you can find historic photographs, from legendary icons to obscure or previously unavailable gems, as well as limited edition books and vintage poster art: all ideal opportunities for a special present.
With a 40 year long experience as a photographer, book author and exhibition curator, Guido Harari is now also locating and restoring forgotten archives, contributing to renew interest in historic photographers, such as Art Kane and Joe Alper, making their incredible images available again or for the very first time to the mainstream market.
Representing a consistent group of world renowned music photographers and the cream of the Italian authors on this genre, Wall Of Sound Gallery has now become not only the place in Italy where to purchase fine art music photography, but also curates and produces exhibitions for museums and festivals all around Italy. With its publishing arm, Wall Of Sound Editions, the gallery also curates and produces its own catalogues as well as high end limited edition books.
