Wall Of Sound Gallery, Alba (CN)

On Saturday March 23, 2019 we will launch a new edition of our usual Spring “collective” show Rock ‘n’ Roll Hearts. This year we will exhibit classic photographs as well as some tasty surprises. We are delighted to introduce you to two great additions to our Wall Of Sound gang: Robert Whitaker, one of the photographers that have contributed the most to the classic Beatles iconography, particularly with the iconic “Butcher Cover”, and Deborah Feingold, long-time collaborator of Musician magazine, who shot historic portraits of Madonna, Keith Richards, Paul Simon and many more. Rock ‘n’ Roll Hearts will also present some never before seen photos of Bruce Springsteen taken from the Darkness on the Edge of Town photo shoot, which Frank Stefanko just recently recovered from the original art director Jimmy Wachtel. On show we will also have unseen jazz images by master photographer Art Kane taken from our recently published book Art Kane. Harlem 1958. Also on show magnificent photos by Mick Rock, Art Kane, David Burnett, Norman Seeff, Masayoshi Sukita, Merri Cyr, Joe Alper, Barry Feinstein, Gered Mankowitz, Guido Harari, Luciano Viti, Cesare Monti and another most interesting newcomer, Cristina Arrigoni whose beautiful first book of portraits of musicians’ hands The Sound of Hands was recently published by Wall Of Sound Editions.

The exhibition will be open Tuesday to Friday 10:30am-12:30pm / 3:30pm-7pm. Saturday and Sunday 3:30pm-7pm on appointment. Monday closed. Free entrance.
