FAQ
FAQ / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I pay?
At the gallery we accept all main credit cards. If you are ordering online, you can securely pay with PayPal or send us a bank transfer, in which case we will email you our bank details.
All prices in this website are listed including Italian value added tax (VAT), which is currently 22%. Non-EU customers (eg USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Switzerland, Norway, etc.) will be charged prices minus the 22% VAT. Local import taxes are the customer’s responsibility. In many territories (eg USA) there are no local import taxes on works of art.
In which currency can I pay?
The default price setting on our website is Euros. You will notice that American photographers have a default price setting in US dollars (USD). A currency converter helps you sort out the value of your purchase order in your currency at the current exchange rate
How long until I receive my order?
Please consider an average 3-4 weeks for receiving a photographic print. It may certainly be less for books, posters or other items you may select. Usually prints are made by the photographers themselves or by their printer or lab, so time may vary from one photographer to the other. Sometimes we could have your selected print in stock: if this is the case we can ship it to you immediately. That is, within 2 working days of receiving your payment.
How do you ship internationally?
Shipping costs depend on the size and weight of the product you order, as well as its destination. We generally ship with FedEx for speed, maximum security and trackability. Please email us for pricing at info@wallofsoundgallery.com.
What if something gets damaged in transit?
First of all please email us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com within 7 working days since receiving your order. We will gladly replace your item with another identical one (if available) or exchange it with one of equal value. In the case of a unique item, we'll send you a full refund after the purchased piece is returned to us in the same condition and package you received it. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the original package to us, whereas we will take care instead of the delivery costs for the replacement.
Can I order a print in a custom size?
If you fancy a one of a kind print in a particular size that is not specified on the website, please email us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com stating your requirements and we will discuss them with the photographer.
How should I display my print?
All prints, framed or unframed, must be kept out of direct sunlight and protected from extreme temperatures and humidity. We recommend that you have your print archivally mounted: this means your framer must use conservation materials for anything that will come into contact with the print. You may also consider using museum-quality glass, for its virtually 100% anti-UV and anti-reflective properties. It's more expensive than regular glass but worth the investment.
Can I purchase my print framed?
We do offer a framing service, but generally avoid sending framed prints, especially big sizes, via courier due to the risk of damage. It's safer to collect your print at our gallery, but you're welcome to enquire about having your print framed emailing us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com. Framing usually takes about an extra week.
I can't find my favorite photograph, book or poster on your website. Can you track them down for me?
We’re regularly hunting for prints and collectables for our clients, yes. Maybe it’s somebody’s favorite album cover shot, or a long out of print limited edition book, or a vintage concert poster, or some obscure magazine, or even vintage vinyl, you name it. You're welcome to email us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com with your special requests. After we have located your "object of desire", we’ll provide you with a price with no upfront obligation.
I want to buy a present for someone special. Any advice?
We’re always willing to recommend items to meet your budget and your special one's tastes. You’re welcome to visit us at the gallery or email us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com with your requests.
If you would like your friends to join in and make the gift you're planning really special, Wall Of Sound Gallery offers you personalised Gift Cards available in denominations of 50 Euros. For more information please email us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com.
Why do prices vary for a photograph?
First and foremost, when a photographer offers his works in a limited edition, print prices usually increase as the end of the edition gets near. This is why the last photograph in an edition will be more expensive than the first one offered for sale. You will also notice that 8x10 or 11x14 prints may often be uneditioned (that is, signed but unnumbered). This allows for smaller sized print prices to remain constant and generally more affordable.
Where can I get information on the various print types?
You can find all information on print types here.
Does my print come with a certificate of authenticity?
All prints purchased from Wall Of Sound Gallery are supplied with a certificate of authenticity, detailing print title, photographer, edition number, printing process and paper used.
Can I see a catalogue of prints from a particular Wall Of Sound exhibition?
You’re welcome to download pdf brochures from all of our shows here. Please email us at info@wallofsoundgallery for further infos.
