Description
WALL OF SOUND EDITIONS IS GLAD TO PRESENT YOU THE DELUXE EDITION OF GUIDO HARARI’S BOOK, “FABRIZIO DE ANDRÉ. SGUARDI RANDAGI “, PUBLISHED IN NOVEMBER 2018 BY RIZZOLI.
Twenty years after his death, the portrait of an artist always present in Italian musical and cultural life, through the exciting photographs and words of the author.
For almost twenty years, Guido Harari has been one of Fabrizio De André’s personal photographers, of whom he has made many of his best known official images. In this volume, his archive opens for the first time in full, with over 300 photographs that include not only those most loved by fans, but also gems and unpublished sequences. They are stray looks, often stolen, despite the official nature, overcoming Fabrizio’s laziness or reluctance. The photographs are accompanied by the story of Guido’s memories and by the “viva voce” of De André extracted from the interviews made by Guido himself on the occasion of two crucial points of the artist’s journey: the legendary tour with the PFM and the album The clouds . De André talks about his addiction to alcohol, the youth competition with his father and brother Mauro, the relationship with his wife Dori Ghezzi and their children Cristiano and Luvi, the meeting with Fernanda Pivano and Edgar Lee Masters, the bought back childhood thanks to the new farmer activity in Sardinia, the linguistic and musical revolution of Creuza de ma, the return to the “civil singing” of the last records.
Guido Harari has signed album covers for international and Italian artists. After the death of De André, he dedicated four biographies for images – And then, the future (Mondadori, 2001), A drop of splendor (Rizzoli, 2007), Fabrizio De André & PFM. Evaporated in a rock cloud (with Franz Di Cioccio, Chiarelettere, 2008) and the latter Sguardi straagi (Rizzoli, 2018).
Together with Studio Azzurro, he was curator of the large multimedia exhibition dedicated to De André from Palazzo Ducale, in Genoa, in 2008-2009.
