Soul Rebel<\/em><\/strong>, an exhibition of <strong>David Burnett<\/strong>\u2019s historic photographs of the reggae icon taken in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1976 and during the 1977<strong> <em>Exodus<\/em> <\/strong>tour of Europe. Most images in this exhibition have remained unseen for over 30 years until they were exhibited for the first time in 2009 at the Govinda Gallery in Washington, DC, and published in the book <strong><em>Soul Rebel. An Intimate Portrait of Bob Marley<\/em><\/strong>. The show will open on <strong>Sunday Feb. 22<\/strong> and will run till Apr. 19. We&#8217;re glad to announce that Burnett will attend the show to meet the public and sign copies of his book.<\/p>\n<p>David Burnett is one of the most important photojoumalists of our time. His awards include<strong> \u201cMagazine Photographer of the Year\u201d <\/strong>from the \u201cPictures of the Year Competition\u201d, the \u201cWorld Press Photo of the Year\u201d and the \u201cRobert Capa Gold Medal\u201d from the Overseas Press Club. He\u2019s also been recently named one of the \u201c100 Most Important People in Photography\u201d by \u201cAmerican Photo\u201d magazine.
