Harlem 1958-The 60th Anniversary Edition”<\/a><\/strong>, curated by\u00a0Art Kane<\/a>‘s son, Jonathan<\/strong>, with forewords by\u00a0Quincy Jones<\/strong>\u00a0and Benny Golson<\/strong>, one of the last two living jazz legends (with Sony Rollins) who appeared in the iconic photo, and a text by Art Kane. The book showcases for the very first time evry single frame from the photo shoot which Kane did in August 1958 for a special jazz issue of Esquire<\/strong><\/em>, which was to be published in January 1959. Many never seen before images are featured in the book, along with the colour jazz portraits that Kane shot for the same Esquire<\/em> issue, on set photography for the film Pete Kelly’s Blues<\/strong><\/em>, a reportage on Harlem Soul<\/strong>\u00a0and a selection of images of a very young Aretha Franklin<\/a><\/strong>.
